Happy fashion week folks! I’m very excited to be recapping some of the shows and presentations that I’ll be attending this week. But I have to point out, the best way to get instant Lifestoned Adventures at NYFW gratification is to follow along on Instagram. I’m utilizing their new knock off Snapchat feature to give you a look inside the shows. So let’s jump into it.

Before I start what's going to be a business week of recaps, I think I should make one thing abundantly clear. Fashion Week is not for the weak. It takes true grit and work ethic to participate in any part of NYFW. Everyone from the showrunners to the designers, to the attendees and everyone in between has the strength of a coursing river, because successfully putting on an event as dynamic as Fashion Palette's Australian Swim/Resort S/S 2017 and RTW Womenswear is no easy task.

Yesterday, editors, buyers, stylists, bloggers, writers, and little ol’ me headed to Chelsea Piers to see an incredible round-up of Australian designers like Lil And Emm, Sara Bailes, Sabo Luxe, Natalie Rolt, and Con Illio.

If you are already following me on Instagram or Snapchat, you probably have an idea of how starry-eyed I was for the entirety of both shows. You probably could also gather that the show's format was extremely fast paced. As soon as the last model strutted her long legs to the other side of the backstage barrier, like clockwork, the lights dimmed, the music changed, the lights when back on and the next show began. Fashion Palette Australian Swim Resort S/S 2017 included nine designers and Fashion Palette Australian Womenswear S/S 2017 showcased six. It was nothing short of a blitz. A beautiful, stylized, spring summer, blitz.

Some standouts and personal favorites of mine were Natalie Rolt’s sexy all white collection.

Sabo Luxe’s lacey, strappy, night time ready runway looks.

Well, today was fun 🔥 #saboluxe at #nyfw ✔️

And Con Illio’s classic red carpet, entrance making, gowns that I would literally kill to photograph.

These designers are exactly why Australia is quickly becoming one of the most interesting places to be when it comes to fashion. Both show were absolutely fantastic and I can't wait to see some of these looks on my favorite celebrities and fashion bloggers - because these collections are perfect for both.

Don't forget to take a look at the street style from outside the shows as well. More coverage, lists, tricks, and twists are coming your way all weekend long.
