When I was a little girl, my nose was constantly stuck in the pages of Vogue. I would have elaborate daydreams about sitting front row at a fashion show where I would watch tall beautiful models saunter pass me in beautiful clothes. Irina Vitjaz’s North American debut at this year's NYFW was nothing short of that daydream come to life.
Every eye, smartphone, and camera couldn’t tear their eyes away from Irina’s incredible designs which included see-through bodices, long flowing skirts, and (as you guys may have reckoned from Twitter) my favorite look - a sheer green dress outfitted with a matching baseball hat/veil combo. With amazing styling and beauty choices like bold lips and victory roll hairstyles, this collection was a modern update of 1940s Hollywood glamour.
There was a moment during this show where I actually had to put down my phone and just experience the beauty of this collection and how fortunate I was to be sitting front row for it. I cannot wait to see Irina Vitjaz’s design on red carpets and on the pages of fashion magazines so other young aspiring fashion lovers can be inspired by and daydream about the day they can see these designs in real life.
Some standout pieces from this knockout collection are below.
