So I know what you're thinking. December is a little late for a September Issue. In that respect, you are completely right. Due to my busy schedule, Netflix queue, and Aries nature, I may have a tendency to bite off a little more than I can chew. That being said, It is my honor to finally present a new Lifestoned Adventures zine - The September Issue(ish).
For my first “official” Fashion Editorial I wanted to call back to one of my first creative loves - ballet. This editorial, styled and photographed by yours truly, is a modern interpretation of my favorite ballet Giselle. Beautiful, dark, and weirdly perfect for Halloween, Giselle is a story of a beautiful, vibrant peasant girl named Giselle, who dies of a broken heart after discovering her lover is betrothed to another. After her death, Surrounded by tombstones in a forest cemetery, The Wilis (a group of white-tool and veil clad supernatural women) who dance men to death, summon Giselle from her grave. They target her lover for death, but Giselle's great love frees him from their grasp.
Earlier this summer, I wrote about how women need shoes that could withstand our hustle. Earlier this summer I found those shoes and those shoes are made by Alterre. Surrounded by fine China, decadent wallpaper, and with a bellini in hand, I had a chance to (metaphorically) kick my feet up at Alterre’s NYFW presentation at Lady Mendl's Tea Salon. Like I mentioned above, and a few (dozen) times in the past week, fashion week is a blitz, so having the opportunity to sit down and enjoy my one true love--shoes--was much needed and much appreciated.
